Brave Jet is am excellent idea that showcases how good design, vivid imagination and innovative thinking can transform an instrument of fear to something more pleasant and appealing. Designed by ilmo Ahn, jooyeon Baek, jisu Kim, seonwoo Pyo of Butler Studio, Brave Jet has been nominated for the A’ Design Award 2015-2016.
The intent of this product is to divert attention of the children by transforming the syringe to a plane toy.
Injection procedures are necessary to protect children against illnesses, however, most children are afraid of it, thus, it becomes difficult for the doctors to inject. Doctors usually find it difficult to calm the patient from fear. he solution that this project proposes is called “syringe toy”. The design of the syringe mimics a plane toy and when the child sees it, The child will forget the fear momentarily because child attention is diverted to the syringe as a toy. When the procedure is done, the needle can be removed and the toy will be given to the child as remembrance of children bravery.
